Dr. Olatonade graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Sciences in 2005 and a Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 2007. He is proud to have provided dental care to the Edmonton community for over ten years. Dr. O has also previously practiced in rural Alberta, Calgary, and the Greater Toronto Area. Dr. Olatonade is passionate about volunteering dental services to those without means, both here in Canada and abroad! When he’s not at the clinic, you can find Dwayne attending live music events around the city, travelling to place all over the globe, or participating in water sports such as surfing and scuba-diving!
Daniele is the Director of Operations at Big Lake Dental, where she leverages her extensive experience in operations management and business development. With a diverse background in the Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors, she thrives on challenges and is passionate about contributing to the growth of a dynamic practice alongside an exceptional team.
Outside of work, Daniele enjoys spending quality time with her loved ones, volunteering with the Rotary Club, and embarking on new travel adventures.
Courtney was born and raised in Edmonton and recently graduated as an RDA in 2022. She enjoys meeting all of the great patients here at Big Lake Dental.
Outside the clinic, you can find her watching TV at home, knitting socks and spending time on social media.
Dental hygiene has been Kelsey’s dream job since she can remember. Growing up she had always loved having her teeth cleaned by her hygienist and she wants her clients to feel the same. Her education through the University of Alberta has given her the tools to make your experience as comfortable as possible. Whether you need freezing for sensitivity, nitrous oxide sedation to relax during your appointment, or simply a patient and understanding space to discuss your concerns, she’s just the hygienist for you!
When she’s not in the office she enjoy going to the movies, rock climbing, spending time at the aerial gym, or crocheting while cuddling up with her 2 cats at home.
Mariana was born and raised in Colombia and moved to Canada in 2021 to pursue new opportunities and continue her education. She completed the Dental Office Administration program at NorQuest College and did her practicum with the clinic, where she was later welcomed to the team.
She enjoys learning more about the dental industry, supporting her coworkers, and helping patients feel comfortable and cared for at the front desk. Outside the clinic, Mariana loves trying new restaurants, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Shawnee comes from a background in customer service and logistics, and has always loved working with people. She completed the Dental Office Administration program at NorQuest College in early 2025 and was employed with the clinic shortly thereafter.
In her spare time she loves reading, rewatching her favorite TV shows and movies, and taking her dog for long walks.
Jude was born in Tagum City in the Philippines, which is also known as the ‘Palm Tree City’. He completed his Dental Assisting course with CDI College in 2023 and has been working with Big Lake Dental since February 2026.
In his free time, Jude enjoys spending time snowboarding with friends. He loves getting out on the slopes and having a great time! He also enjoys staying active and working out.
